Original fabric collage — part of the Personal Collection.
This piece has been lovingly gifted to one of the strongest women I know. It is not available for purchase.
She stands in a world drained of color, dark hair falling around a face that has seen too much — and has not looked away. Beside her, a heart broken clean in two, red and raw and unmistakable. Its shards scatter around her, still falling, still breaking.
And still, she holds her ground.
That is the thing about her. She does not crumble. She does not disappear into the hard things. She absorbs them, processes them, and keeps moving — not because it is easy, but because that is who she is. Resilience is not something she performs. It is something she simply is.
Look closer. A broken heart, split in two, looks very much like wings.
She has been broken. She has risen. She will rise again — because that is what she does, every single time, without fanfare, without asking for recognition. Just forward. Always forward.
Wings aren't given. They're earned.
